TEMPORARY ART TECHNICIAN

This post is full-time, term time only and is tenable from 31st August 2010 to 31st December 2010

We have a vacancy for a Technician to support teaching and learning in our busy and expanding Art Department.

The main task will be to order and organise the materials and resources in the department, helping with every practical aspect of the subject including general maintenance, displays, exhibitions, workshops, visits and assisting artists in residence. The person appointed will work alongside Advanced Level students and their teachers to help them make best use of the resources and opportunities available to them. The latter is a particularly important part of the job description, especially the ability to establish meaningful learning relationships with students.

These posts involve working with young people and vulnerable adults and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records at an enhanced level. Further information about the Disclosure Scheme can be found at www.crb.gov.uk.
